Casino Pokies Online

If you play pokies at an online casino you'll know that you'll receive pokie bonuses, a way in which the online casino thanks you for your patronage. Well on Friday I received a few nice casino bonuses to the sum of $150. Having a few spare hours on Friday night I used these pokie bonuses and had some fun.

Lately I've been playing online pokies using the flash casino instead of the casino software. I find that sometimes the flash pokies pay-out better than the casino software. This is not surprising as both versions reside on different servers. Although both out comes are controlled by an RNG (Random Number Generator), they are not using the same RNG. Hence the outcomes will always be different.

So I start playing the pokies.

I was playing $1.35 a spin but a gut feeling (I get these a lot) told me to increase my bet which I did to $2.25 a spin. Three spins later this little beauty drops in. Yep 5 scatters that not only gave a me $1125 pokie win, but also awarded me 15 free spins:

A couple of hundred later and the change of pokie machine, a bet increase to $11.25 and this little ripper drops:

Now you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise that with a mere $150 (a free online casino bonus) I turned that into a nice tidy sum of $2,943.25 in under 45 minutes playing online casino pokies. Least to say I played this down to an even $2,500US and cashed out.

Now lets for argument sake take $150 into an aussie pokie venue. Do you think you could turn that it what I did in under 45 minutes? I have played pokie machines at pubs, clubs and Australian casinos and I can tell you that the likelihood of this happening is not very likely at all. It's more likely that you'll do your $150 bucks or if you do win on the pokies you'll be going to get a $500 win, least of all a win like this playing land based aussie pokies.

Progressive Pokies & Jackpot Slots

I don't know about you but I don't seem to have much success with playing jackpot slots. Sure I've had a couple of small wins say $1,500 at the casino, but I know this lady who stuck a couple of bucks in a jackpot pokie machine and won $22,000 at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Se those sort of wins seem to elude me. It's not like I haven't tried, I think I've thrown a bucket of cash at the progressive jackpots but simple can't seem to crack a decent win.

Although I have been recently giving mega moolah a go; it's an online progressive jackpot slot that is currently running at $4,750,354.83 for its major jackpot win. Which in my book for a mere $1.25 a spin isn't a bad risk to take. Before this jackpot slot I used to play Major Millions. The first person to win that won close to $1,600,000US and that was only one week after Major Millions progressive slot had been released. Since then many others jackpot slots players have become instant millionaires.

Writing about all these jackpot slots and progressive pokies has me thinking I should go spin some slot reels for a while. This time could be it!

Aussie Pokie Games

Playing Online Pokies for Cash
Thought I'd make a short post about the new online pokies site that I've launched especially for people who are looking to play pokie machines at an online casino. At present the home page is active as well as some highly recommended deals for playing online. Most offer some type of free bonus and also give pokie players a sign-up bonus offer. These are some pretty good deals, especially given if you like paying Aussis style pokies. I'll leave it there for now check it out if you have some time.

Microgaming

Our pokie machines, free casino games and online poker are all powered by Microgaming. That may or may not mean anything to you. If you don't recognise the brand, these guys are the IGT, Bailey's, Aristocrat of the online gaming world. Their casino & poker software is regarded as the highest quality available & they've been around since 1994. So what makes Microgaming stand out from the rest?

That's a pretty easy question to answer, because they can be trusted to deliver quality casino games that are as good, if not better than those in land based casinos. When speaking of their Aussie styled pokies then these are in my opinion far better that those in your local club, pub or any land based casino. They offer a wide selection of pokie games which include free spins and bonus rounds.

Probably the most impressive though is their pay-out ratio. Playing a pokie in Australia or anywhere in the world for that matter, the chances are that the machine will be set between a 80% - 90% pay-out ratio. Which basically means the house has a min 10% edge up to a massive 20% edge on every spin. In layman's terms that sucks!

Microgaming pokies however have their pay-out ratio set to an min of 93% up to 95%.

As Raw Funk Games is all about free casino games and free pokies then the pay-out percentages don't really matter as it cost nothing to play our games. In so far as Microgaming, if you were ever to play at an online casino then you'd be wise to play at a one powered by Microgaming.

Pokie Machine Strategy

Playing the Pokies
The most important factor when playing any pokie machine is to realise that they all operated on a computer chip. Each spin is a predetermined result. The only control that you have on the out come of any pokie is the time at which to push the button or pull the handle to make the reels spin, or in the case on the new video pokies, to view the video play of the animated reels spin. Standing on your left foot with your right hand perpendicular to the square root of the hypothesis of the max coin bet button will not increase your chances of winning at any pokie machine. The only thing it will do is make you look like a complete an utter idiot! The same goes with patting the screen, caressing the pokie screen or any of the hundred and one other things I'm you've see people do whilst playing the pokies.

Pokie Stretegy
The only real way your going to stand any chance of a getting a decent win on a pokie machine is to follow a few basic, good sense rules. These are as follows:

Pokie Machine Bankroll Management
Before you play decide exactly how much money you can comfortably afford to lose. Remember that playing pokie games is gambling so the possibility of losing is always on the cards.

Lets say you have $100 and your going to play the Aristocrat 50 lions pokie machine. If the machine is set on 1cent a line then it's going to cost you 50 cents per spin to play all active lines on 50 lions. My suggestion is to set aside $20 and play 2 bets per line at max lines. Better still find a 2 cent machine and play 1 bet per line on all 50 lines. I say this because if you get win then your going to win more than if you were playing a 1cent pokie.

Personally, I tend to stay away from the 50 line pokie machine games, I think they just suck your cash and offer very little chance of any decent return. I'd much rather play 20 line pokies and play 5 cent a line games. In the end your still wagering $1 a spin but the out come of a good win will net you considerably more money.

The other point I'd like to make is if you get a decent win on the pokies, cash out. Put some of the money back to your bankroll and the rest put in your wallet or purse. Least this way you maybe able to walk out of a pokie venue being a winner for a change.

Apart from that make sure if you assign yourself a pokies bankroll that you stick to it. If you win great if you lose walk away and try another day. I've seen too many people just keep feeding a pokie machine in the hope it will eventually pay-out. This mindset can be a very costly mistake and one that can lead to almost certain defeat.

The other alternative is to play free online pokies least they wont cost you a cent.

Pokie Machines

If your like me I always like to view images they give an instant idea of what the subject is about without having to read a million words. Most times the viewer can see in an instant if that's what they looking for.

The same goes with online pokies.

I'm sure if this is a topic that your interested in then you've likely visited a lot of sites only to find they don't offer free pokie machines. More than likely they just have a heap of online casino links, maybe some generalised pokie information and that's about it.

After conducting some research on the topic of aussie pokies, I also came to realise that not many sites offered images of the the type of online pokies games that you could play. So I thought to myself why not add a site that featured a selection images of our popular free spin pokies and bonus pokie machines.

Well my new site shows pokie game images. Best of all these are a selection of our most popular pokie machine games that you too can play online and they wont cost you a cent.
